A Few Christmas Cards

Hello I have had a few busy days and I actual didn't realise how rubbish I am with technology and how much time I spends trying to work out  the most simplest things like load pictures onto the computer.  I suppose it doesn't help when the files are there one minute and then gone to the cloud or(Picasa) the next.  Anyway enough of the boring stuff.I have been set the task by my oldest daughter to make her class cards and she 9 but think she 18. This is my first attempt

Which I was quite pleased with and will use for one of my own Christmas cards.  However she wasn't that impressed as she doesn't see how it is a Christmas card as it has no red or spots on which is very unlike me.

Materials
Dies: X-Cut Star die
Paper:Silver wrapping paper from paperchase and Sparkly Silver Self Adhesive from Hobbycraft

The next card I attempted to impress Ellie-Mai

Materials
Paper:My Minds Eye 12 days of Christmas
Stickers: Crate Paper Snow day stickers
Chipboard-Pink Paislee Hometown Summer Border stickers
Stamps: Cats life Press Stamps -Princess Cutie and A Merry little Christmas

Other:Red Star gift tag AND Glitter star Hobbycraft

 AND THEN
As you can see I still need to stick this on to the card blank.

Paper-White Paperchase Gift wrap
Chipboard-Pink Paislee Hometown Summer Border stickers
Ribbon- Red and white star ribbon was brought at Homesense. The same pack Can also be purchased from Lakeland but its three times the price.

Ellie-Mai likes the cards but she is not sure if her class will.  So I think that's me back to the drawing board.

HOW EXCITING MY FIRST POST ON MY BIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome to my very new blog which isn't perfect but we all have to start somewhere.  I have decided to do it on my birthday so I will be able to keep track of when I started. I found writting this first post extremly difficult for a number of reasons.  Firstly wasn't sure who my audience would be apart from my friends and family who already see most of my work.  So my solutiom to this problem was to make my blog for me and about me and my crafty life and all the people I meet along the way will be an extra special bonus to add to my journey.  So all feedback is welcome and any ideas to help me along the way I really appreciate.  My second problem was a blog a necessarity to be a crafter and my ultimate decision is a big fat YES.  So I can have some where that is mine to document my crafting journey and I hope to keep it fun, honest and straight forward just like myself what you see is what you get.
This first post is dedicated to a few different people who have helped me along the way with there knowledge and experience.  Firstly My crafty aunty Lesley Kemp who has taught me a number of crafting techniques such as iris folding and cross stitch which I will be eternal grateful for thanks Les.
Also Hannah Young (HandmadeHannah) http://handmade-hannah.blogspot.com/ this lovely lady I have never met but exchange a few emails with and followed her blog daily Hannah without knowing has been a great inspiration to me.  Her work could always put a smile on my face so hopefully I can do the same.  So here is a thank you card
